Ribbon-cutting opens new Norwood branch June 7th marked the grand opening of Peoples Federal Savings Banks new branch office at 61Lenox Street in Norwood. Thomas J. Leetch, president and chief executive officer, led the grand opening activities, joined by Peoples Federal board chairman Maurice H. Sullivan, Jr. Norwood town officials taking part in the event included John J. Carroll, town manager; Bernie Cooper, assistant town manager; and Gerald Miller, superintendent of recreation. They were joined by Douglas R. Wynne, president and CEO of Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Peoples Federal Savings Bank directors Bernard Burke, Hugh Gallagher, and John Reen, Jr. Peoples Federal vice presidents James Gavin and LeeAnn Cote and CFO Chris Lake, a Norwood resident, were also on hand to welcome customers and guests. During the ceremony, Leetch and Sullivan presented Gerald Miller with a $1,000 donation from the Bank to the Norwood Recreation Department, to support programs in the community. Annette Spring is manager of the Banks new 2,000-square-foot Norwood branch. In addition to ample free parking, the site features a drive-up teller window, 24-hour walk-up vestibule ATM and night depository. Additional staff members at the new branch include Donna Dawes, Mary Landry-DiCesare, Juliann Tynan, Kirsten Frangioso and Amal Asfour. Our new presence in Norwood provides more convenience for our current customers and brings the outstanding Peoples Federal brand to an even broader customer base, said Leetch. We are proud to now be a member of the Norwood community. The new Norwood office is the fifth in the Peoples Federal Savings Bank branch network, and the first in Norfolk County. Other branches are located in Allston, Brighton, Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury. The Bank also maintains four 24-hour ATM locations in Brighton, Watertown, and Waltham.
